This is a great look at the science and history of plants that impacted the world in different ways. It is a fun read, but it's informative throughout, and it never shies away from the darker parts of the histories, such as slavery, child labour, colonialism, famine, and environmental impact.

I look forward to reading more similar books. I recommend this to anyone middle grade and up.
