Oh, this was fun. I really liked the Visions series on Disney+, and I think that this book is fun in the same way that that series is: by completely ignoring Star Wars canon and doing its own thing. Like Candon says in her author's note "it's an iteration of an American saga that is itself an iteration on a Japanese ones." It's kind of a slower read, but it's incredibly fun and just different than standard Star Wars books.
Moderate: Death and Violence
Minor: Death of parent
