Ok I definitely liked this one more than the first one. I had a lot of fun.
PLEASE LOOK UP TRIGGER WARNINGS, there are some heavy topics discussed further into the book.
Yes it still felt like a gosh dang fever dream but that is likely just because it's under 300 pages and the author wants to fit everything in the story, which made it really easy to read and to want to continue to pick up.
I think I liked this more because Cassie was less annoying than Dani in the beginning but I loved seeing the mains from the previous book coming to support their old team.
Half of my annotations were my wattpad brain thinking of the most insane scenarios which half the time were untrue but some times i was right.
In my opinion these books are a good entry into hockey romances because techniques of the play aren't heavily described.

another strong book in the series!! Cassie and Jaxon were quite the couple when they were younger, then out of the blue, Cassie just up and left and continued her life in New York, until one day she shows back up in Denver trying to hide from Jaxon, but all hell breaks loose when he sees her for the first time. they’re obviously still in love with each other but Cassie has to work super hard to earn his trust back after what happened years ago, but it was like nothing ever happened once they finally rekindled their spark. such a great childhood friends to lovers to enemies to lovers situation. also, be sure to check trigger warnings, this one can be pretty dark.

Childhood lovers
I liked it,
Some bits were a bit of a hit and miss for me.
Absolutely love Sheridan Anne though

trigger warning bliss
I’m not usually one to read the trigger warnings but I’m extremely glad I have for this series. While the first of the kings of Denver series sent me on an emotional roller coaster this one had my heart racing trying to piece everything together.

Oh my word. Jax and Cassie’s story is everything. I wasn’t much a fan of him and his manwh*re ways in the first book but d*mn if he didn’t redeem himself!! I loved their history, the way they still know each other so well. I loved that Jax didn’t punish Cassie for the past but found a way to forgive her and move on. Her brothers are hilarious. Her bff Bri is awesome. I just loved everything about this and I can’t wait for the next boy and his story
