Oh man, I got teary-eyed a few times! I haven’t gone through anything that Colleen Hoover puts in her books, but she makes them so damn relatable. Such a beautiful story that all of the judgmental a*holes should read. Just another reminder to be kind, because you never know what people are going through.

Colleen Hoover is such a powerful writer…I just listened to the full audiobook in a single day for the FIRST TIME! I was compelled and heartbroken by Beyah’s tragic life from the very beginning. And then Samson’s own devastating circumstances crash into hers, igniting a flame that can withstand any storm. I love how the relationship between these two characters grows and changes so much throughout the book.

In this novel, Hoover exposes the dark truth about survival as a lower-class member of society. She also challenges the dynamic perspectives of high-class and low-class individuals. I really like that she goes deep on this topic.

The romance was real and deep. I highly recommend this if you’re looking for a tense romance!
