This book gave me everything I expect from an Eric LaRocca book. Cringe worthy, mouth gaping, squeamish prose that still has the ability to convey emotion and depth. Loved it!

This has everything I've come to expect from Eric LaRocca, all of his wit and charm, with great language, and awful events occurring. Though I still think my favorite has to be their stand out novella "Things Have Gotten Worse Since We Last Spoke" this book easily rises to second place, the grotesque starting chapters, and the last novella section were such amazing highlights for Eric's bibliography and I will always be eager to read what comes next from Eric.

This one wasn’t my cup of tea, but I love all of Eric’s other books. I wasn’t as moved by this one as I usually am, but don’t let that stop anyone from reading it!

I read this on kindle unlimited on a whim when I was in a silly, goofy, spooky mood and I'm so glad I did. Such a unique collection of very disturbing stories that are all connected through the themes of love and nature. LaRocca horrifyingly highlights both the the beautiful and the terrifying aspects of human nature.
Check the trigger warnings because there are quite a lot of them.

Could not find a book to better fit ‘dead dove: do not eat’. A unique collection of horror-filled novellas that explore the complicated dynamic in relationship- (romantic, familial, animal, etc) Though this isn’t my cup of tea, i enjoyed the descriptive style of writing, and look forward to exploring this author’s other works.
