Dark, dark book and a set up that I didn't totally understand until the 7th book, but still a compellingly told story.

The book series is so much better than the films! Felt it dragged out in places, but all in all I really enjoyed it

The weird thing about re-reading HP after a few years is how distorted my view of the book is and how far the reality of the emotions I can feel while reading (or, in this case, listening to) is from what 12-year old me felt

The last book that actually takes primary place in Hogwarts is perhaps one of my favorites of the series. While the style is basically the same old thing as forever, certain characteristics of Harry, Ron, and Hermione (and I suppose Malfoy) are finally blossoming like most of us have been waiting for them to for most of the series.

Rereading this book broke my heart... I will forever be faithful to this series and I’m sure I will reread it soon, but I can’t avoid the heartbreak I know I’ll have every time I read the ending of the book.
