It actually makes me sad that I won't finish this book because I LOVE HER.
Scarlet is such a great fMC she is realistic/rational, class conscious and honestly a bad b*tch in general.
And their banter was good but...I just can't get myself to like him...
He does not need to put her down he does not gain anything by doing it he even thinks about how being nice to her could help him and his sexist comments are not necessary. The mMC can be a "bad boy" without being an ass and even if he falls for her that does not change his mindset and how he treated her at the beginning. He could have been charming but distant or formal and cold...why make him chauvinistic?

i love scarlett and crew, they can easily be placed in my top 3 CWF couples but they’re story and they’re tropes and things mentioned in it was so…lackluster tbh. a lot thing were left unmentioned and rushed but there were definitely some good scenes
