This is more accurately a 2.5 star. I found nuggets of wisdom throughout, but the tone of the book was really hard to not find annoying. I read this because a dear elderly customer I have at the shop gets discouraged no one reads the books he gives as gifts. I told him I would. I did find a few passages worthy of reading out loud and remembering. It is short enough I'm not upset about reading it. I would pass it on to others with the comment that it is a fast read which saves you from being too bombarded by the tone (wink).

My manager loaned this to me. After sitting on my shelf for a year, I finally read it. And I am so glad I did. I feel like my brain is being stretched and my horizons are widening.
While I know that I won't get it right every time, this teeny little book (only 107 pages!) has challenged me to at least attempt to be the best leader that I can be in my life, my work, my family, and my marriage.
At the end of the book, Jones recommends 146 books in "Power Packs" for different types of people. And to say that I feel like I don't have enough time is an understatement! I want to go read all 146 books and then some to try and catch up on the important learning I've missed that Jones so clearly has begun to learn!
I can't wait to dive right in to a TREMENDOUS life ahead!
