What I liked- as always with a Nicole Fox book, this was well written. The chemistry between the two main characters is strong and their love is fierce. The Hero is certainly willing to burn down the world if he doesn’t get the heroine back. And some of the erotic scenes were very hot (like that time in the car….). The characters were all interesting, whether they were primary, secondary, or tertiary.
What I didn’t- the Bratva is almost incidental in this book. I’d have liked to see more of the soldiers have the Hero’s back. And the erotic scenes with the toy didn’t sizzle; the toy didn’t add anything to the scenes and made it feel like the author was trying too hard.
Verdict- Recommended. All of Nicole Fox’s work is worth the read, and she does Bratva books better than almost anybody.

This was wonderful! I loved the angst, the drama, the excitement of it all. And with every Nicole Fox book, I fall in love with the best friend/sidekick all over again. Yasha was hilarious; I laughed almost every time he opened his mouth. I love how close they all were even in the epilogue. And the scenes with the saddles were absolutely mind-blowing. Wonderful work!

I can't give this book five stars because although I loved Ivan, this book didn't have enough emotions from Ivan's POV. They were subtler this time rather than in your face, which I had been hoping for. Most mafia/Bratva men Nicole Fox writes about refuse to accept their feelings for the women and end up falling really hard, which is evident in their thoughts and actions. Ivan's feelings were much more subtler. We don't get to see him come to the conclusion that he's in love (or at least I don't remember reading that?) but he does accept his feelings.

Thanks to Booksprout for a copy of this book.

I love this author but this story just didn’t catch me. For me, it just keeps dragging with not enough drama to hold my attention.
