I didn’t like this book very much. Extremely slow.

I enjoyed it somewhat but not as much as Jane Eyre.
Although a lot happened in Wuthering Heights and at times it felt like a family resolution chat show with no end and revenge I found it harder to follow especially with the characters having similar names or being related. I find Catherine Senior and Heathcliff's relationship toxic and don't understand why it is romanticised. I feel had Heathcliff a nicer nature such as Hareton then maybe they could have ended up like Hareton and Catherine Junior.
I appreciate that the book does try to tell lessons, I feel that Nelly is a coward and does not accept responsibility for her actions.
Heathcliff is a terrible father to his son and a bitter human being.
I felt sorry for Edgar and Isabella and Catherine Junior seems to be the best thing to come out of Edgar and Catherine's relationship.
Love and loss can cause pain but love can also be wonderful and loss shows that we were or are lucky to have something to miss in the first place.
