This just didn't work for me. The development of the characters and the plot were too fast paced and hurried. The writing was choppy and the speech was horrible. Didn't flow for me :(
Hope you all have better luck than I did!

Okay, so many people dislike this due to some emotional and physical cheating. I'm just gonna say, with or without it, I loved this. Maybe bringing it down to 4.5 because of the cheating I don't know, whatever.

Basically, it's written in two parts. Part one, set in the past when they met and fell for each other. Part two, seven years later, when they're still in love with each other but have tried to move on. Elec (no offence but what type of a name is that, I still can't get over it. Maybe it's just from his mothers culture, whatever) has a girlfriend he planned on proposing to before his father- the twist involving this man is mega cray cray- and must venture to the funeral where he thinks greta will be married to the man she used to be engaged to, however she's not, and she's very much still in love with him. Elec secretly wants to be a writer, and no one but greta has read his stuff, his girlfriend doesn't even know he writes. He eventually lets her read his new project, an autobiography, that very much not only involves his family history, but her.

The pages from his book provide a really great way of getting Someone else's point of view on the same event in one novel. While I skimmed over the dialogue that was repeated (probably should bring the rating down to a four for that but I won't) everything Elec thought, his tormented and loving thoughts, from when he was a teen and seven years later, helps you see he's not just some tool who bullies her, but that every bad thing he does, he knows exactly how much it hurts and feels bad for it.

The book ends up coming completely full circle and finishes more with the feeling it's about his life rather than hers. Everything points to him, and his life and it's just a little sweet. I loved it. That being said, many didn't. But I'm really not picky with books. I liked it, and that's all there is to it!

I didn't have that high of hopes for a book with the title this one did but it was oddly heart warming.

This book was an insanely crazy ride and like Greta, there were a few times I wanted to throw my iPad. I was worried with it being a standalone book that it would be rushed and seem fake, but I genuinely enjoyed laughing and crying with it. 5 stars!

More like 3.8

It was good but I didn't had taboo aspects as I was expecting.

Greta.. Humm I have no attachments with her.

Elec, at the beginning he was interesting and then it was just normal...

I didn't felt in love with him. He is damn hot but that's it.

Entertaining but not loving it
