This book is super super slow. There isn’t much conversation and it’s mostly the main characters thoughts as he’s trying so solve a murder. His thoughts are super repetitive. The characters have the same conversations a lot. I also do not care about wine and the whole thing takes place in a winery and wine is a big focus. The description of the town is confusing so I couldn’t really piece together who was where and the setting.

I knew
who had done the second murder the second that character was introduced. She was too pushy and too annoying to be innocent. She reeked of someone trying to get information and inserting herself into the investigation for her own benefit.
it definitely isn’t a super great twist at the end. It really was so ridiculously slow. I would read ten pages and think to myself I must have read 50. I didn’t hate it, the story had good foundation but it just wasn’t enough for 330 pages.
