Kate DiCamillo never ever disappoints. I feel a renewed sense of hope for humanity when I read her books, but she doesn’t sugar coat any of the realities about hardship, love, and loss but presents a soulful reflection through a fiction story that any age group can learn from and admire. I want everyone I know to read this book, and I will read it probably every year from here on out. A true 5 stars.
