A cute little advice book about navigating the world as a queer woman! Didn’t feel preachy at any points, which I really appreciated!

Spoiler
This is a collection of queer advice columns! Unfortunately, the problems that these queer people have are not chaotic or interesting

I think the very best advice columnists are able to see the issues or dynamics present in their letter-writers' woes, then expand that to address social issues they see in our community as a whole

Askamanager does this very well. Captain Awkward used to, before she got boring

Anyway there was very little insight or like.............. point to this book LOL
I think my ideal advice column would have the storytelling and careful delineation of social dynamics of r/amitheasshole

I really liked this book. Some sections interested me more than others but that’s how these things work. The book is pretty and I like the aesthetic so I’m definitely happy with my purchase.

A fast, breezy, heartwarming read. Thoughtful questions answered with generous, compassionate advice. While I am mildly sad (as a gossipmongering Libra) that there weren’t very many messy gruesome schadenfreude-inspiring questions, I still enjoyed taking peeks into the lives of queer women across the world and thinking about what it means to exist as a WLW in this modern age. The lovely illustrations and neon color scheme made this even more fun and engrossing. None of the advice here felt particularly applicable to me right now, but God knows it will help so many people overall. Congrats to Maddy, Kelsey, and the guest advice-givers on their achievement!

decent book, i sometimes disagreed with the advice or found it trite. but it was also sweet and had some good moments. i love maddy’s substack! and the guest writers were all great. the art was nice but sometimes the text colors were way too bright and hard to read

A really valuable, heart-warming and affirming read for queer people of all ages! I absolutely loved the illustrations in this and the advice within is sure to resonate with all readers, no matter their sexuality or gender!

Thanks to Netgalley and Chronicle Books for an e-ARC in return for an honest review!
