There was a lot of action in the later half of this book and it left me wanting to read the third book right now! Unfortunately, I have to show some patience and wait my turn for the library copy.

Looking forward to The Choice, can't wait to see how Breen's powers and ability to control her powers grows in the final book.

I admit, I probably rate most books higher than they should be rated. If they're not DNF, they're at least deserving of a 3 star review. So, take this with a grain of salt.

I'm having trouble really getting into fantasy or dystopian type novels since I was a young adult. My mom loves Nora Roberts, I love JD Robb. I gave the first book a listen because the narrator on Audible was one of my favorite narrators. I fell in love with Breen, with Marco, Marg and with Keegan. This book had more action, I started it yesterday on audio (16 hrs I believe), continued reading on Kindle up until this morning when I've finished. I became the literal definition of not setting a book down.

Thanks for making me stay up way passed my bedtime, Nora!

Here it is:
Breen who just found her dad left her a grand ole amount of money and a place full of the faye, visits Ireland and stays to write. She just so happened to walk in through a portal and met her grandmother. Antagonist: the big bad, her grandfather who is a god. Being the quite literally goddess that Breen is, begins to train in the magicks and in combat. The second book is the narration of Breen really delving into who she is, learning her place in the world and believing in herself. It's coming of age, near your quarter life crisis when you're of age, but still trying to find a place in the world.

Read this series. Now, I must wait another year for another book to find out the true fate of fictional characters who feel like family.
