This was a heartbreaking yet beautiful story. There are a few different characters, each with different stories to tell but you come to find out they all connect together in such a tragic way.

Really enjoyed this book. The story is very sad, the writting kind of reminded me of a Jodi Picoult book.

Overall I enjoyed the story of this book. It was an easy read but it was missing something and I'm not really sure what it is. Maybe it was told from to many perspectives or maybe all the characters weren't easy to relate to or something I can't quite put my finger on it. I did find myself wanting a book just about Gus and Charm as they were the characters I actually enjoyed and had some depth to them. The climax was rather late in the story and lacked the punch I was expecting out of a story about a baby drowned in a river and one left at a fire station. I wasn't wowed but I was intrigued enough to not toss the book aside.

Not the best writing, but the plot hooked me pretty quickly and I couldn't stop reading. This was a easy and fast read.

dark emotional sad

I thought this would be more of a spooky mystery but it was much more of a sad heart breaking story of infant loss and teenage pregnancy. I finished it just to finish it but I found it hard to read. If I had known more in depth what the book was about I would have passed. However, the author is a good writer. Just not a topic I enjoy
