This was my first book read by this author. I liked the idea of the story but sometimes things just got too cringe for my liking. I don’t read this type of book often so maybe it’s just not for me, but I figured I’d give it a try. I liked the plot except for

 when Ben starts dating the dead brother’s wife??? Didn’t like that. Also didn’t like when she said her favorite band was X Ambassadors

… but that was just me. Overall, I liked the story, but found multiple parts to be a little too cringey.

I was done with this book at about page 25. It never got better and I was thoroughly frustrated by the end. Thank goodness I borrowed this from the library and didn't spend any of my own money on it. 

I wanted to give this book the benefit of the doubt and read it for myself, but I had a feeling going into it that I wasn't going to like this after reading other reviews, and after reading the book for myself, boy was I correct. 

I had many issues with this book, most of which have been outlined in a detailed review by Whitney Atkinson. A lot of it is Ben's behavior, which is not acceptable in any way, shape, or form.
