  • I was not expecting to find out that Ben started the fire. I was screaming.
  • The spice was good, I just hate that it was fade to black.
  • I really could’ve done without the Ben x Jordyn storyline. Like, I get it but it was weird.
  • There were moments where I cringed a lot at this. There were lines I hated. But, I love the premise of meeting up every year on the same day. I love the absence-makes-the-heart-grow-fonder-ness of it. And I loved that the entire book took place on that date. Everything we learned about them and their lives was in the context of one day on the calendar.
  • The whole manuscript plot twist thing did feel a little too reminiscent of Verity.

This was the first time I ever reread this book, and I picked it up because I wasn't sure if I would still love it today. Not only has my reading shifted this year, but I know everything that happens now, so the twists and turns won't be that twisty to me now. But I ended up still enjoying the book. It's been a couple of years since the last time I read it, and there were things I either didn't notice before or completely forgot about, so it still had some interesting/shocking moments. I do wish that the ending was a little different. I feel like Fallon kind of just forgives Ben a little too quickly.

Really enjoyed this book. Super quick read and a breeze to get through.
Cried at so many different parts , out of happiness for the couple, stress on whether they’d be together, and felt myself falling in love with the characters and going through the same emotional rollercoasters.
Updating my review now to 5 stars after continuing to think about this book the rest of the day.

Found myself tearing up multiple times and getting sad about them leaving each other at the end of each day, or frustrated that they wouldn’t stay with each other!>

Really not that great but also was really enticing. I wanted to know how things turned out, but the plot twist was really upsetting.

This was a good book. I loved the plot! I loved Ben and Fallon's relationship. They had the best banter and the heat set the pages on fire! I loved the way Ben made Fallon feel good about her scars and helped boast her confidence.  The twist was heartbreaking. Ben and Fallon meet on November 9th during an emotional altercation. Fallon immediately falls for Ben, but she's moving to New York that night.  They make a pack to meet every November 9th to help each other reach their goals. The only catch no contact of any kind for the rest of the year.
