Dear Meghan,

You liked this little collection of short stories. Lisick's writing reminded you of Meghan Daum. The following quote made you laugh out loud in the tire shop: "Instead of Fake It Til You Make It, I'm more like I'm Kind of Making It, I Think, But It Feels Like I Must Be Faking It Because Making It Has Got To Feel Different Than This, So What Is Life?"

While you did enjoy reading this some of the stories were like a sad mirror being held up to reflect your own awkwardness and it was a little uncomfortable, tbh.

You'd read more Lisick, though.

Sincerely,
Yourself

Sometime ago I read a mean review of Beth Lisick's work on Goodreads. That one review has messed up my enjoyment of this book. I wish I hadn't read that review.
