I was still myself, yet at the same time I was something different. It was a wonderful place to be.

I enjoy his short stories. The theme of this book is it's all about "Men without women". There are 6 stories. Some of them are sort of mysterious, it reminded me of his last short collection "Tokyo Kitan Shu".
My favourite was "Kino" It had a good amount of Murakami weirdness, it reminded me of Wind-up Bird or 1Q84. Brilliant.

Loved these stories! So easy to read and you just become so attached to each of the characters in such little page space!

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed a lot of these short stories. That said, I would love to stick Murakami in the same room as Freud and let them analyze each other for a bit.
