I liked this! This felt like a 2000’s slasher movie meets Friday The 13 & i love. I am a sucker for camping slashers & cabins. No real depth to any of the characters but I didn’t mind because who watches (reads) a slasher for deep connections. This was fun! Ignacio’s birthday for his mom was kinda weird to me which is maybe why I’m not leaning to a 5 star but this was good. I am gonna save Halloween Slaughter for this October!

Dnf this started so strong but I hate how they spoiled who the killer was and the POV’s switching with you having to decipher who it was talking about was too confusing for me :(

This started out fast paced and so good!
𝐈 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐩𝐢𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐭𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐢𝐭 𝐟𝐥𝐨𝐰… except ‘special abilities’ Ignacio had, and the similarities to ‘Leather Face”, that kinda made me less interested in his character…
It started to feel like 𝙩𝙤𝙤 𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙮 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙘𝙚𝙥𝙩𝙨 were crammed throughout.
But I enjoyed this, and the opened ending.

I really really tried to get through this one but I just didn't like it. I made it to 59% and had to throw in the towel. The writing style just wasn't it for me. I also hated the plot which is literally my own fault for not reading the synopsis. I just can't read books with cannibalism as a topic it really bothers me. But again that's my fault since I didn't read the back and it's stated literally right on the back that this book is about that. I just couldn't finish it.
