The begining is very disturbing, then it gets interesting, then it gets WTF??? The story starts stretching indefinitely, it becomes a bit hard to follow some events as the author takes her sweet time to continue some parts left suspended, and then close to the end some very nonsense things take place and I wondered "why put this in the story?". The whole thing with Susie and Ruth and Ray next to the end was just unnecessary and weird and it spoiled the book for me. What started off as a strong yet difficult topic to swallow became a nonsense by the end. I'm really frustrated by how things evolve in the last third of the book. What a shame...

The only part I didn't like so much
was her coming back to life to have sex. Like I get it I don't wanna die a virgin either but there's more life to live other than sex!
I loved everything else though. No complaints!

This book was really good and sad at the same time. I really felt the pain of the salmon family and I loved how I could follow their grieving.

It was very realistic in the sense of not getting any closure. I also really enjoyed the fact that we are viewing it from Susie’s perspective and how she yearns to be with her family and make it right.

It was a really good book and very sad. I really do feel sorry for what the characters went through but I’m glad they have managed to move on.

This book did not end well. There was no happy ending; no pretty little bow to tie everything up. I don’t like books that don’t end well.

You think you’ll love the book, but then you keep reading and ask yourself why is this or that on the book, the it gets sooo bad.

I don’t quite know what to say about this book. It was okay, but I didn’t like the writing style. It had me hooked for the first and the last few chapters but I couldn’t tell you what happened in between. In the middle of this book it kind of started to drag, nothing was really happening and I had to force myself to continue reading.
Overall I would say that this book wasn’t good but it also wasn’t bad. 2 stars.
