This YA horror follows a girl who has a very particular and dark past, who gets the chance to inherit a mansion and millions of dollars if she stays there for a year, but more than that she gets answers.
I just read this book in one sitting and I’ve completely forgot how to describe anything. The plot is good, the writing is beautiful, the hardback has stained my fingers blue after not putting it down for hours. I think describing it as a horror doesn’t do it justice as it’s also very speculative fiction and doesn’t focus so much on some gory details as the otherworldly weight of it all. I would recommend it.

Kate Alice Marshall never ceases to amaze me!!!!! Rules for Vanishing will probably always be my favourite of hers but so far I’ve read all of her books in one sitting because I just can’t put them down! So good 😍
