Absolutely love Nadiya Hussain, she's totally lovely. For me book is a mixed bag. Things I liked; Nadiya is so open and honest, she is so genuine, I was moved by much of her story.
Negatives: I think the chapter break down is a bit chop and change, and I think sometimes there is too much focus on staying all the facts, I feel sometimes like maybe she holds back a bit (which is absolutely her right!). But I think it's really noticeable at some points as she is such an open person. I kept wanting to hear how everything made her feel and I didn't always get that.
Overall this book is a quick read and pretty much confirmed for me that Nadiya is the person she seems to be on television. I have really deep respect for her, especially given the obstacles and hate she has faced, she is a phenomenal role model. To be so open and honest given all the stuff she has been through is remarkable, much love and respect to her.
