I read this whole series aloud to my kids during the pandemic lock down, twice.  Three years later, I'm reading it to them again.  My daughter is now the age of Rosalin, the eldest Penderwick daughter.  These books hold such a special place in my heart that I can't give them a subjective review, but isn't that what you want in a book?

For me, the Penderwick books hold humor, hope, and enough of the pain and loss of the real world to keep them weighted down.  They are a delight to read.

This is definitely one of the cutest family-focused books out there (the whole series is, actually!) The bonds between the sisters are so sweet to read about, and I loved all their adventures! Definitely a good choice for a cozy, slice of life book.

I read this as a kid and loved it! I simply feel too overwhelmed right now by the amount of books I want to read to continue my reread. Maybe that will change in the future.

I greatly enjoyed this book. A little house on the prairie, little women, a do nothing but be entranced kind of a book.

I really enjoyed this book, it is a cute story sort of little womenish with summer adventures. It took me awhile to read because i was just reading a bit but I could imagine it would make a great read sound book.
