Very good read. It’s nice to see someone talk so highly of a profession that is so often torn down. This book provided great strategies of student, teacher, and leadership empowerment all while sharing personal, meaningful stories.

Many great ideas on how to inspire positive school culture and create a “life fit” for school and life.  The power for me was in the conversations had with colleagues as this was a part of a book study.  The writing in the book itself contains easy to read short stories and many lists of practical actions to take.  Thus, the writing was better to read in spurts - reading it all at once was monotonous with the writing style.  Written for the audience of teachers and administrators alike.

Read this book for a leadership series. Great book with reminders of how to help shape the culture around you. We were able to do a live zoom with the author, who was a fantastic speaker. He created this framework to help him be the most authentic educator and leader he could be. My two biggest takeaways: you don’t have to be a leader to lead and always try to assume the best. Solid read.

This was such a great book! It spoke deeply to me as an Enneagram 1 (Reformer) and gave me vision for making a greater impact in my school. This is one I’ll keep on my shelf in my classroom so I can continue to look back at my highlights.

This was the perfect read as I head into a new school year. Jimmy Casas reminds us of our calling as educators —the joy and awesome responsibility to be our best selves as we create cultures of high achievement through relationships, a clear vision, and partnership with students, teachers, and families. I am invigorated and excited to share my learning with my leadership team.
