I think this is my fav one so far! Read this after watching the series for the 3rd time and it only got me more excited for season two!
I was a little bumped w #2 bc I felt that it didn’t had really a plot, jus Nick questioning his sexuality (tbh, same) and them finally getting together, but this book makes it up for it 100%! We have character development, plot, intrigues, deep conversations and so many cute moments!!
I must say, check the TW for this one bc I was not expecting to have mental health problems but it was so well made for a begging of a discussion that it made sense to the character and it didn’t feel just thrown in there!!
I also love so much how Alice was able to build this book where everybody is queer and it’s a safe space even tho there is darkness and homophobia/transphobia/hate we will make it out in a happy ending and it’s great to see it compared to the usual “we are all happy and perfect” or “life is too hard and miserable as an lgbtqia+ person”

Did I finish volume two and IMMEDIATELY head to the store for volume three? Yes, and what of it????? Charlie and Nick continue to maintain that adorable, slow burn energy despite being very much together and falling in love. This book sees a lot of character development for Charlie and Nick, but also for a lot of the side characters (the tiny subplot with the two teachers??? My heart!!!!), which really gives it a sense that this story has a lot of room to grow in beautiful ways.
Graphic: Eating disorder
Moderate: Abandonment
