Next time I'm searching for light hearted romantic comedies to pull me out of the depressive books I've been reading, I'll do better. I won't look at a bright cover with swirly letters and funny blurbs and assume I've found the right one. I was mostly ok until I got to the chapter where the mother tells her side of the story. That chapter ended with me laying in Patrick's room and crying over him as he slept. Creepy and sad. Despite being occasionally funny this is NOT a comedy. Heart breaker. Good but rough.

Yes, it's a little predictable. But I fell in love with these characters and truly cared about what was going to happen to them. The writing is warm and witty and honest, and by the end, I couldn't put the book down. Great summer read.

This book changed me. It's currently 3:45am and I'm sobbing uncontrollably because I decided it would be a good idea to finish it today. I have never read a book that's had such an effect on me before. Jojo Moyes' writing is beautiful, and I'm stunned by her ability to describe emotions without saying anything at all. I'm blown away. Read this book.

Not my usual... a bit sappy but a quick read, whatever it's worth.

Muito bom, gosto da protagonista
No começo fiquei comunista ressaca literária tava muito chato
E algo que falto na adaptação foi sobre o abuso mas entendo a diretora não querer colocar

tugged on every single one of my heartstrings and opened me up to people's struggles in an area I'd never given much thought. I really enjoyed this emotional rollercoaster of a book and would highly recommend it.

I first heard about this book after I finished "The Last Letter from Your Lover" a few months ago, but I didn't pick it up (despite its positive rating) because looking at the cover, I thought it would be a mindless chick-lit. I was wrong - and I'm telling you now, don't let the cover fool you. This fiction will make you laugh, smile, cry, question your path in life, and possibly even challenge some of the moral and ethical positions you thought were set in stone.

The author does a beautiful job writing about some pretty tough topics, and the characters are well-written and sincere. I found myself wanting to forego all chores, workouts and even sleep to continue turning the pages. There's not really a way to give much more of a review without giving spoilers, so I'll only say that this will be one that I recommend to friends, and I'm already on the waiting list for the sequel.
