Ah, now I remember why I loved this series so much as a teen. What an incredible and utterly devastating story. Everything fits together so nicely in its tragedy and the characters feel just so much more tangible than in the previous volume. It also made me laugh a couple of times, despite the horrors that would follow. What a great book!
