I was interested in reading this book initially after meeting the author at a local convention and he told me all the stories were set in my home state. Once I finally started reading the book I had very mixed reactions. The first story was about a girl being abused by her aunt and being saved by an entity brutally murdering her aunt. As violent as it was I was glad the girl was saved from her abuse. The rest of the book was full of incredibly violent stories, with a majority of them being excessive unnecessary violence against women. I finished the book even with it making my skin crawl. I honestly wish that I had never read the book, and I got rid of it not long after finishing it.
