I know this is considered a romance but it didn’t feel very much like one. There is plenty of love but it comes with a lot of pain. Also, wish there was more chapters from Evan/Blue’s POV than the snippets we had.

This was a raw, real and emotional story of a toxic relationship surrounding addiction and mental health. This story does not start out with a perfect couple who just can't be together, this is truly a depiction of a toxic relationship from the very beginning. This is truly a journey with over a decade spanning their story. This wasn't my favorite by Carian Cole but she really does know how to deliver a story that hooks me and gets me emotional along the way.

This book has some very difficult themes that hit very close to home. Blue's struggle with depression and mental illness is hard to watch but easy to understand if you've lived it. The author gives the whole story a very real feel and you really understand the characters. Though the book is bittersweet it is well written and the story line is perfect. I think there could be some internal dialog that could be removed but aside from that the story is great.
