This book made me feel so seen in ways that I didn't think literature could. I deeply appreciated the different parts of mental illness the author highlighted and how the stories we tell ourselves also shape it I thought the most interesting term I walked away with was an illness career, and how that could be the most dangerous thought of them all. I especially saw myself in Laura Delano and her story.

I found this first and second hand account of mental health challenges really interesting. I remain frustrated with our lack of understanding of mental health and our lack of understanding how to treat mental health challenges.
