This may quite have been one of my favorite Hollows book. So much went on, not all god but I think Rachel found an inner strength sh didn't know she had. There were new characters introduced and ones from other books brought back. There were some glaring exclusion of characters which didn't go unnoticed by me.

There was a bombshell dropped twice about one of the characters in the last book only to have that character mentioned only once and that was in such a small way it was almost nothing, Keasley needs to be explored some more. Ceri? Only a mention. David, he was away from the alpha female from his pack during these dangerous times? No I don't think so. Now I doubt my five stars.....but I will keep it at five because this was a great story.

For those of you that have never read a Rachel Morgan books she is kind of a fly by the seat of your pants, act first think later type of witch. She is constantly driving those that love her nuts with worry over her latest adventure. Those closest to her Ivy her living vampire roommate/business partner and Jenks her pixie roommate/business partner often worry about her but are often part of whatever havoc she is wreaking.

This is a fun series that I recommend. It is fun, and it has drama too. If it didn't have the humor it might be unbearable. Read these books they are so much fun!

I was very frustrated with this book. Despite all the events in the book, I felt like their was not a lot of action, and mostly just Rachel pitying herself. However, by the end of the book, many older story lines were wrapped up and she seemed to start to get stronger again.

I cried when Rachel got her memory back, but it was good that they got to have some closure for Kisten. I'm still sad he's gone and probably always will be, but it's good he is put to rest now. It was upsetting but not shocking when Marshall left. Pierce don't like him, don't trust him. Ivy kind irked me with her "love" of Kisten (I know crazy right, but the whole Ivy/Rachel love thing irks me half the time anyways). I was happy knowing Kisten still loved Rachel after becoming Undead, and his sacrifice will always be remembered. Al he cracks me up and Trent, I would still lobe to see him and Rachel more. I've always like Trent for some reason, and I think he needs to be more involved in the books, I'm just saying.

I loved this book. Rachel and Ivy are having great character arcs right now. I can't wait to see how the rest of the series goes.

The 7th installment in the Hollows series felt like a placeholder for me. There were questions answered but more come to light and we see the end of some characters and the beginnings of others. But all in all, this felt like treading water more than anything else.
