The story started off in a way I didn't expect, and then headed off to another direction I didn't expect. Ultimately, it ended up being significantly lighter than the rest in [b:The Human Division|15698479|The Human Division (Old Man's War, #5)|John Scalzi|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1341582413s/15698479.jpg|21356077], but not bad.

This one was awesome. The annoyance of dealing with someone else's little yapper & carnivorous plants, how could it be better?

This was really a really funny and enjoyable installment, and not just because everyone melts into a puddle of aww.

The minute the ingredients were on the counter, the dish was obvious. And there was a lot of cheese in it.

A little bit of self-contained character development but not terribly obviously part of the ongoing continuity for the story as a whole. A good episode though.

There's been a lot of humor in these chapters so far, but this one was just laugh out loud funny. It's only not a 5 because it didn't change my world-view. But as stand-alone vignettes and as pieces of a larger story, I am enjoying the hell out of this.
