An enjoyable read. As with the first book, the actual plot and the world building are great. I am very into the adventure taking place.

Weirdly the issue I take with this book is the same thing that initially drew me to the series. The sex sort of felt like a distraction from the story in this book. I think the difference to the first book is that book one had so much build up, which made the sex very gratifying. I wasn't really feeling the same way in this book, it kind of felt awkward.

Again though, the actual plot is fantastic.

Bit more rushed than the first one but I still very much enjoyed it.

These books are great, very original paranormal/magic plot set in Victorian England, it's just the right amount of magic and intrigue without being too complex and confusing. It's also pretty short (150 pages). The two main characters complement each other so well and I really enjoy their romance and the spice too.
