***I received an ARC from Netgalley.com.***

This concluded the Stillwater Lake trilogy and what an ending!! With all the twists and turns of the first two books, Wolfhunter River did not disappoint. It was emotional, frustrating and terrifying in its reality and, in my view, concludes the story in a very satisfying way. If you loved Stillwater Lake, don't miss the ending!!

Loved the first two so unsurprisingly I wasted no time at all starting this one. This one had me most intrigued from the off. I felt like the main plot was wrapped up between books 1 and 2 - so what could book 3 deliver?

Another great instalment of this series and I’m really growing to love the main characters, the kids in the books are older now I’ve reached the end of book 3 and I feel very invested on where they’ll end up across the course of the next 3 books! This book is the first that isn’t solely focused on the main plot that dominates books 1/2 so I was worried that it would go off on a tangent that I couldn’t stay hooked on but that didn’t happen.

I’d love to see a bit more focus on the kids Lanny and Connor in the next book as they are still following in the shadow of their mother.

Number 4 here we go!

It seems impossible, but these books just keep getting better and better! The suspense is both chilling and amazing. The mystery is deep. The thriller aspect just keeps hitting on Gwen from every side - almost incessantly.
I love Gwen so much! She's strong, because she has to be. And she keeps going when others would completely give up. And she's still so very present in her own and her children's lives.

Wow!! I just finished and feel like I got a cardio workout - my heart was racing through the end of this book!!!

I really love this series - and while you could start here, I think you will appreciate it so much more if you start at the beginning of the series with Stillhouse Lake. It takes a different perspective from most books we’ve read about killers and I love the way it makes me think.

I don’t want to share much about the plot since it will give away things from the earlier books. I felt like there were a few slower parts in the beginning/middle of this one but by the end I was flying through!! And I also think this one did a lot of work in setting up where things will go for future books. I am 1000% here for this series and can’t wait for the next book!!!

Thank you so much to Netgalley and the publisher for the advance copy in exchange for my honest review. Available for purchase now!!

Kind of got a little bit lost in this one and there was almost too much going on. Still had some moments I liked but not as much storyline action as I like. Good ending for Gwen

Another gritty and dark story, Rachel Caine is on par with Karin Slaughter for addictive stories that explore the dirtiest minds and actions you can think of (or can't even imagine). I thought this was a trilogy but this is actually a series and this one has a completely new mystery. Since the Melvin Royal arc ended in volume 2 I was wondering what this one would be about, but it has a brand new mystery and of course we continue to follow Gwen and family as they struggle to get accepted. I still love the characters and am very happy this is an on-going series, Rachel Caine is a new favorite thriller author and I'm excited for her next story.
