I loved this book. I am so sad it's over. Just magical.

The turn of events wasn’t what I expected but the pacing was just so exhaustingly slow that I really did not care for Franny anymore by the millionth flash back (and forth).

I don’t feel there was much to love about this story. The world building was lacking and the characters superficial except for Franny, who I do not feel was a reliable narrator considering how the story unfolds.

Much of the turn of events seems unbelievable but I’m not sure if that was because of how it was written or if it was the story itself.

Franny needs to seek help.

Written from the heart. The plot that moves the story in flashback is the tiniest bit dramatic but it serves its purpose and I doubt that any reader can come away from this book without a greater love for migrating birds.

*read for book club*

A moving meditation on climate (and other) grief that straddles the line between hope and despair. Beautifully written and wonderfully layered.
