Wow, my 2nd review of the year in the span of 2 days. Amazon was giving this book for free sometime last year so I decided to hold on to it. It ended up being one of the best decisions of my life. [b:Lukas|42832555|Lukas (Ashes & Embers, #3)|Carian Cole|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1542315028s/42832555.jpg|44445086] has everything I LOVE in a novel. Great characters, plot, older woman younger man romance (I'm a sucker for it) and dual 1st person POV. I wish more authors would write older woman and younger man romances the way this one was done because I would HIGHLY recommend it.

Carian Cole quickly became one of my favorite authors, and I have read every single one of her books so far. This one didn't disappoint either, if anything, it was right up there with Storm!

I've read the entire series, and so far my favorite book was the first one with Storm and Evy, while I loved the rest of the books, they just couldn't live up to that one. I left Lukas to the end - because I'm just not that big on age difference, I thought it would be standard, predictable, and kind of boring.

The absolute opposite!

Lukas is probably my favorite brother/cousin from the bunch, with his artistic mind, to his talking bird, I was in love with him from page one. Ivy was not at all what I expected, what was holding her back from Lukas was relatable, and made her into a real human being - instead of a black and white book character. I was absolutely in love with their entire story, and although I knew they would end up together - from the other books - I could not put this down!

It was an incredible, sizzling hot ride, and if you like bad boys with an old soul, this is the book for you!

I'm just trying to get to Asher's book at this point.
