Another light read, but the book made me very frustrated. I grew very angry with Grayer's parents and couldn't wait for the happy ending because I was finding it very difficult to read on and on about all of the terrible things that they were doing to him and to Nannie!

How sad that some people really live this way! I was glad they "happied" up the ending for the movie, but the book ended on such a sad note. Very easy to believe, but it hurts the heart to think of it.

This was a silly book and a little bit too fantastical but it was validating to read in light of recent babysitting experiences in NYC.

Honestly having a super unhealthy relationship with your employer isn't nearly as fun as this makes it sound. Speaking from experience.

NYC is sooooooo harsh for working gals. Poor Nanny. Poor Grayer. Poooooor rich people.
It was ok. I liked it alright while I was reading it. It's just when I look back and realize how similar it is to Citizen Girl (which they wrote afterwards) and The Devil Wears Prada (which someone else wrote) that I get a little depressed.
