Took me a lil to write my review cause I genuinely don't know what I disliked about the story. Some of the characters (actually only Tedros and Agatha) annoyed me, but not enough to lower the rating this much. The first half was also pretty slow-paced, but, again, it didn't bother me enough to warrant a 3.5 star rating. I don't know, still think this book is definitely worth it if you liked the first book

I really enjoyed this! There was true vengeance and conniving taking place. Everything was a mystery to the main characters and you never truly knew who to trust. It kept you excited the entire time. I wish Sophie’s character didn’t revert back to being the idiot want-to-be princess as much as she did.

The second book in the School for Good and Evil was just as fun as the first one.
I really enjoyed reading about the School in the first one but now the schools have changed in a way.. but then again there's always something that won't change... There is always going to be ONE school against ANOTHER and battles that will continue on...
The characters on the other hand stay the same. Not great character development but I still like Agatha's character better than Sophie's. Sophie is sometimes very annoying and over-acting.
But for me it's the story-line, fun facts and fairy-tales re-written that was just so much fun to read about. Plus, the side characters are sometimes WAY better than the main characters.
I love Hester! She's spunky, gritty and awesome. I already have someone in mind for casting her but forgot her name. Oh, well.
Anyway, I enjoy reading this series and will finish it because I want to see how the 'real' end ends...

I spent the entirety of this book confused and unsettled.
Agatha spends the whole book wanting to be with a guy she's never had a conversation longer than 10 minutes with. All of her friends and teachers encourage her to throw her entire life away to kiss a boy. Tedros meets "Phillip", says he's like a brother to him, then kisses him, and says he's never felt this way about another human, boy or girl. Agatha shows up again and suddenly Tedros forgets the (much more real, in my opinion) that he has with "Phillip" and is excited to be reunited with "the love of his life". Then Sophie kisses her "mom" deeply on the lips for probably at least a minute. Sophie is now dating her school dean? The villain of this arc was literally murdered with a snap. No fight, no pretense. Just 🫰🏻
The first book wasn't perfect but it was fun. This was neither good nor fun.
