Amazing. This is my 4th book of hers and I just love Chamberlain’s style so much. Looking forward to reading more from her!

Absolutely Brilliant! It was heart-breaking at times, but I loved every minute! This book takes you to another world—several actually! The entire book was captivating, but I absolutely could not quit reading the last several chapters. It was my first book by Diane Chamberlain, and not at all what I expected. I have to admit that it was the cover that caught my attention and I didn’t read much of the description. Once I realized it was about time travel, I was certain I would’t enjoy it. I was wrong...this is the BEST book I’ve read this YEAR!

“A rich, genre-spanning, breathtaking novel about one mother's quest to save her child, unite her family, and believe in the unbelievable.”

Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for this ARC, in exchange for my honest review!

3.5 rounded down. I do enjoy a good time travel story and this was very entertaining. It was very difficult for me to move past the explanation of how the time travel process even works but once I got farther into the book I just went along with the story.

- Beautiful, I loved this so much
- This book is just the story of love and strength
- Cried a lot and couldn't stop thinking about it
- I need to read all of Diane Chamberlain's works
- I loved the 70s and 00s differences, it felt really well researched and well done
- Hunter was a great character I'd love a spin-off with him
- The time travel wasn't over-explained in a SciFi way which I thought was great because I think it would have taken away from the story otherwise

This book was incredible, tugged on the heartstrings. I could feel everything the main character was feeling.

The Dream Daughter was one of my most highly anticipated books of 2018 and it did not disappoint. I am a huge Diane Chamberlain fan and always look forward to her new releases. Although I would probably have not chosen a book about time travel otherwise, Chamberlain rarely lets me down. "Fantasy" kinds of books are not my thing but this was so much more than that. It was a true Diane Chamberlain book with family drama, amazing and relatable characters, all surrounding a story about moral issues. She was able to explore the mother-daughter bond, what makes a family and adoption issues in a new and amazing way.

It had me on the edge of my seat while also constantly making me think "what would I do in this situation?". You are able to see the story from multiple viewpoints because she does such a wonderful and in-depth presentation of the main characters. This was very different from a lot of her past books with the time traveling aspect but it stayed true to her roots with the general concept and flow of the book. It ended up being one of my favorites of hers and I have many! Thank you Net Galley and St. Martin’s Press for providing me with an ARC of this book. All opinions expressed in this review are my own.

I won an autographed copy through a Goodreads contest. When I first starting reading and it talked about time travel, I wasn't sure if I wanted to continue reading. I don't believe in time travel, but it seems to work for this book. The amount of research that went into the book must have been extensive. I loved reading about all the different decades and historical facts. Overall I enjoyed the book and sympathized with Carly multiple times. However, I felt the end was rushed and left several questions unanswered.
