Gucci Mane’s autobiography was a fun, quick listen. It was interesting to look behind the scenes of the life of one of my favorite music artists. I loved how we would tie in some of his experiences into lyrics from his songs. Gucci’s influence on hip hop and culture are weaved throughout and I just really enjoyed taking the time to reflect on his career.
Some of the timelines felt rushed. It is a relatively short biography, so I think it makes sense things were often times condensed or not fully fleshed out. I also just wish so much it could’ve been read by Guwop himself. The narrator was alright, but Gucci’s voice is so distinct so you can’t help but miss it.
