Very disappointing. I love apocalyptic fiction, or so I thought. Maybe only in novel format because I want to know more information than can be delivered in a short story.

This is a fun collection - some hits and some misses, but I think that my hits are someone else's misses, and my misses are someone else's hits - and that is really the point of these collections, isn't it? to give you something that you will like and something you may not like - it is also a good way to be introduced to new authors and new writing style

It's hard to rate short story collections as a whole when it contains so many different writers and styles. I loved a few of the tales, hated a few of them, and was indifferent on a few more. My favorite story of the bunch was "Judgment Passed" by Jerry Oltion, and as a computer programmer myself I had a soft spot for "When Sysadmins Ruled the Earth" by Cory Doctorow.
It is totally worth reading just to see 22 different views on the Apocalypse in rather short order.

A lovely collection post-apocalyptic short stories. Some were misses (maybe four?), but most of them were very good. I wished a couple were novels because I really wanted to know more about that world. Definitely an enjoyable read. Terrifying, but enjoyable.
