I loved it like I thought I’d love it, with all the charms for Green’s writing (apart from a few questionable lines which were acceptable to say at the time) but it didn’t break me like Paper Towns and The Fault In Our Stars did, hence knocking off half a ⭐️

I didn’t dislike the book. I think when comparing it to other books by John Green I have others that I enjoyed more. Maybe it’s because I enjoy more of a love story. But the book itself has an interesting way of talking about death and life and seeing how the teens operate with their unique view on life (largely influenced by their past). I don’t think I’d recommend it to a younger audience due to some of the mature content but if you have read John Green books before you’d probably like it.
