These characters just get better in every book. Nice to have a change of scenery.

The slowest one yet, but the twists in the second half made up for it.

Solid 3.5 stars. Nice change of pace from some of the books I've been reading lately. Griffiths writes a strong mystery without a lot of melodrama, which I appreciate. Both Harry and Ruth are realistic characters who have an interesting relationship--I'm curious to see what happens with them.

I'm still enjoying making my way through this series of murder mysteries, and number 5 didn't disappoint - although I'm grateful it didn't end with the plucky Ruth having to be rescued yet again.
