It's a quick read. Read it while falling asleep in bed. Finished it then spent a good while in a half asleep state pondering if the story is actually a riddle that can be solved. I now think no. It's just Murakami being his elusive self.

I have mixed feeling to be honest and I'm not sure how to put it out there. At first like Hazel I thought my copy was missing a couple (maybe a solid 20 or so) pages but seems like it was just 48 pages alalong. I'm kinda like confused but........yeah I think I should reread it.

This was just so sweet. I went into it thinking it was going to be sad somehow but ended up getting a very lovely story with such a positive and philosophical message. Reminded me of a Christmas movie.
