Loved it! Great story telling and the most plot driven book so far in the series! I enjoyed reading about the politics within the world and of course the final battle we’ve all been waiting for!

A stunning third instalment to the ACOTAR series. I was absolutely enthralled- I stayed up till 4am so I could finish the third and final part in the book. I'm breathless and overjoyed.

While reading this book I felt that it was a really slow start. I was not expecting it to pick up right after the events of ACOMAF but was glad to see Feyre do some mental warfare against her enemies. Personally for me it didn't pick up until Cassian and Azriel showed up to save their High Lady, MY FAVORITE PART). The last 100-150 pages were absolutely killer and made the long read worth wild for me.  I have come to realize that the last 100-150 pages of all of SJM's book are like this. They hook and sink the reader in.

The problem with this book is that it barely scratches the surface of every aspect. The world building is surface level; the character work is surface level; the social commentary is surface level; and even the plot feels surface level. Despite big things happening that *should* have high stakes, every thing always comes up Feyre, so it’s hard to feel any emotion or anticipation about anything happening. And whenever a character does something bad, instead of allowing that to create tension and conflict, sjm immediately diffuses it by establishing that the character was simply *pretending* to be bad and they had good intentions all along. It’s makes for a very boring story to be honest.

A perfect ending to Feyre's point of view.  Even though I knew things would be okay in the end, I was still so tense reading the last third of the book!  This book had me in its grip!  Probably didn't need to be 700 pages but I enjoyed the little moments too.  I really fell in love with the characters, even ones outside the inner circle.
