As soon as I finished A Solitude of Wolverines, I wanted to jump right into A Blizzard of Polar Bears. I loved continuing to follow Alex Carter and I hope there will be more books in the series.

I don’t want to give anything away about the plot - I think these are best read in order. I will just say that much like in the first book I was on the edge of my seat through most of this story. In addition to all the action, I also love the messages about conservation in these books and the author being a wildlife researcher comes through in a way that is interesting but doesn’t bog down the plot at all.

I will absolutely preorder if there are more books in this series! Thank you to William Morrow for the gifted book. I also got the audiobook from the library and highly recommend the audio - excellent narration!

A good little fast paced mystery with plenty of twists and turns. Absolutely loved all of the polar bear biology , Arctic habitat and wildlife biologist traits I learned reading this book. The mystery itself was quite simple but I read it for the polar bear content and, therefore, it hit the mark for me!

I read the first in this series and was hoping for more with the second book.
2** for plot development - just too many Dramatic Plot Twists without actual plot development
3*** for the knowledge about the wilderness, and polar bears. Not so much for survival skills with this one. The characters take too many chances and survive too many "close calls" to be believable.
