i agree with a couple other reviewers...there wasn't much to this story. the sex scenes were decent if that's what you want to read about. i think the story had potential but after reading so many really good m/m stories this left me wanting...

Very well done

This story was very emotional and very well crafted. The author had me fully invested in the lives of the characters from beginning to end. The writing was complex and the plot was well developed. A job well done.

This is the first book I’ve read by this author. I don’t know what I was expecting but nothing like this plays out. There isn’t a lot of background on these characters. Aidan is struggling with his life in general. His music isn’t going anywhere but then he isn’t really trying like he used to. He has a software job to pay the bills but that is more of a routine than a career.

Dario is an author whose success has provided him with enough money to afford to have a place for local artists to promote their talents. Aidan and his band plays there a couple nights a week and Dario realizes Aidan is better than he is taking credit for and should be focused on his music. Dario also has a attraction to Aidan but since for all purposes Aidan seems to be straight. Then one night they are left alone together and their attraction sets in motion for Aidan’s bi awakening. Dario has the patience of a god but as they are getting together others enter into the story. I’m not sure this part is believable to me. Aidan on one hand is jealous but yet when there are possibilities of more people involved, he seems to get into it. There are so many issues between these two but they do somewhat get worked out. I feel there are a number of unanswered things left at the end though. Whoever was drugging the drinks is not positively identified. I also felt unsatisfied with really thinking these two have definitely settled into a permanent relationship. The two personalities are both fragile in more than a couple ways. I think everyone should read the trigger warnings because they are there and there is no excuse for the reader to be upset with what all happens in this story. I was given a copy from GRR and am happy to have found a author that I feel wrote this original story.

This is my first time picking up a book by this author but within the first few pages I fell in love with the authors writing style and their way with words. Everything within the book is so beautifully written and it is super descriptive. The contrast between the erotic themes of the story to the more depressing and serious was very well done and I believe with a different writing style, would seem abrupt and lack the impact I felt from this book. Throughout the book you feel very connected to the characters and are rooting for their relationship through all the ups and downs. One way I would describe this book is that it is very intimate, while reading you feel like you are in the inner circle in the relationship and that you aren’t left out of anything. As an avid reader I rate almost every book I read as 4 stars, but this one has earned a rare 5 star in my collection of reads.

Sad to say that this was just an ‘okay’ read for me.

This book.... Wow! I was engrossed from start to finish. First of all, GFY. My addiction. And it was done so well. That perfect blend of "what the hell am I doing?" and "God, I want him so bad!" Damaged men who are trying to overcome a past trauma. A little bit of BDSM, that perfect amount of romance. I could have done without the girlie bits, but they actually worked well with the dynamic of the story. And I just LOVED how it ended. It was perfect.

"Now, while I’m not an expert on BDSM, I’ve read a lot of books dealing with it, so I’m not entirely clueless about the subject. All I know is how I’m feeling while I’m reading a scene. If the character in question feels this is what he needs, everyone is on board and it’s a consensual act, then I’m right there with them. I’m not going to go into detail with what happens because I could inadvertently let some spoilers out. Just be aware there are some tough BDSM scenes with multiple partners that some readers may find a little too much to handle. I thought the author did a great job executing these scenes and felt they fit well with the story being told. That being said, please bear in mind there are some girly bits in the book. There are M/M/M and M/M/F scenes too. You’ve been warned, so don’t act surprised and pretend you didn’t know.

Ultimately, this was a love story, one I enjoyed from start to finish. It’s not going to be for everyone and that’s okay. I absolutely loved it and look forward to reading more from the author."
