They say there are two sides to every story AND I promise you this novel does NOT help shed any light on the truth of what happened in the relationship and subsequent death of Nicole Brown Simpson. It was a lot of OJ’s whining attempts at CYA - acting like a wishy-washy, pushover and tyrannical hot head.

Read it if you really have a burning need to but don’t expect it to be enlightening or even entertaining. It’s just a sad peek into a conflicted relationship.

“If I Did It” reads like the ramblings of an abusive man who snapped and regretted his actions. It’s not a confession or an apology but a look inside one man’s justifications for his actions.

The story that obviously lies between the lines gives the reader an eerie feeling.

An unfettered look into the mind of the killer. I caution readers to keep in mind that the picture he paints of Nicole is most likely not accurate to reality, but I think it might even be only half accurate to how he saw things at the time, with some changes to ramp up his "justification" for the act.

Put simply, this was OJ's attempt at gaslighting all of us.

Disturbing and depraved, but incredibly interesting to get to see.
